overview
In our group, material fundamentals meet sustainable structures. We create the world-best knowledge and the state-of-the-art technologies to advance materials for safer, durable, more sustainable, energy-efficient, and environment-friendly performance of various structural systems. To meet the goal, we use multidisciplinary knowledge and integrate it with experimental efforts and computational modeling approaches. We work on understanding and modeling of complex multiphysical (thermo-, hygro-, chemical, and mechanical with damage) and multiscale (nano-micro-meso-macro) behavior of various complex (multiphase, heterogeneous) solids and structures for their better performance, design, and societal benefits.
