overview
The focus of Dr. Maitland's research is on the development of light-based technologies for applications in medicine and biology. Technologies include novel light sources, optical fiber based imaging systems, handheld microscopes, multiscale optical microscopes, volumetric imaging systems, portable spectrometers, and point-of-care devices.
