My research focuses on Continuum Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Constitutive Models, Soft Solids, Finite Elasticity, Finite Viscoelasticity, Modeling of Elastomers, Modeling of Biological Tissues, Applications of the Fractional Calculus to Solid Mechanics, and Numerical Methods for Material Modeling. I actively develop new mathematical models for soft tissues and biomaterials, and advise on theoretical approaches for experimental support.
